20 Sep New features of Whalebone. Compliance with regulations in one click – See what’s changed!
Discover a New Era of Internet Security
Internet and communication service providers are increasingly faced with stringent requirements to ensure security. These demands stem from regulations mandating the blocking of access to specific domains based on government directives, posing both technical and administrative challenges.
Whalebone not only offers effective network protection tools but also simplified solutions for regulatory compliance – now further enhanced.
Transparency and Full Control
Until now, Whalebone provided tools that ensured compliance with existing regulations. The current update offers something more – full transparency.
With the latest features, you will have access to detailed information such as:
- Regulatory authority responsible
- Type of content listed (e.g., gambling, CSAM)
- Legal regulations or court rulings that serve as the basis for the regulation
- Date of the list’s last update in the database
- A list of regulated domains (up to 1,000) with the option to review the full list if publicly available
This approach not only simplifies monitoring compliance but also ensures you are always operating in line with the latest requirements, without needing to manually track changes.
New Countries and EU Regulations
Whalebone is expanding its offerings to new markets. Currently, its compliance tools cover several countries that have implemented content regulations, with two more nations to be added soon. Moreover, the Whalebone system will also take into account European Union regulations related to domains subjected to sanctions.
For internet operators, this means one thing – full readiness for new regulations, without the need to manually track legal updates across Europe.
Compliance in One Click – But You’re in Control
Whalebone stands out for its ease of configuration. Regulatory compliance remains as simple as a single click in the policy settings, but remember, this feature is not enabled by default. You decide when to activate it.
Why is this important?
With the current volume of online content and rapidly changing regulations, Whalebone rises to the challenge of being a key partner for communication service providers. It not only offers protection against cyber threats but also provides tools to keep up with legal requirements. This ensures that your network remains both secure and compliant with current regulations – without unnecessary effort.
